The computer-based turotial highlights the operation of the Trimble 2000 Approach IFR GPS.

The scenarios represent the core of the course, and are presented in an interactive format in order to ensure the highest possible comprehension and retention.

The training teaches the philosophy behind every button and function. It also teaches how to navigate through the various screens of the Trimble 2000 Approach. This gives a pilot the tools to perform any function.

The 2000 Approach course material is presented as a series of building blocks, each lesson adding to the previous knowledge. The student must successfully complete each lesson before moving on to the next.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Included with the tutorial is a computer-based simulator, allowing practice with the Trimble 2000 Approach navigator.

The Trimble Trainer™, which is based on the ELITE™ Trainer, a version of the ELITE Personal Electronic IFR Training Environment, is an instrument trainer which allows you to practice Trimble 2000 Approach skills which you learned in the Trimble NavTutor CBT. The Trimble Trainer’s default location is the Austin, TX metropolitan region and has a limited database which will allow you to fly any scenario
taught in the CBT.

The Trimble Trainer allows you to reload, replay, reposition or even freeze the action at any time to review procedures and improve your skills.

The Trimble 2000 Approach GPS Navigator which is replicated in the Trimble Trainer, simulates almost every single feature available with the real-life 2000 Approach unit, including AUX (auxiliary) and CALC (calculation) pages.
